Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: September 2026

A. Termination & Refusal of Service

Lady Ink Melbourne reserves the absolute right to terminate, cancel, or refuse service to any individual at any stage of the consultation or tattooing process. Immediate refusal of service will occur if a client appears under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs, exhibits aggressive, abusive, or discriminatory behavior toward studio staff or other clients, or fails to provide valid government-issued photo identification proving they are 18 years of age or older.

We further reserve the right to decline or suspend a session if an undisclosed medical condition, contagious infection, skin trauma, or severe sunburn is observed at the tattoo site that could jeopardize client health or clinical sterilization. Clients maintain the right to pause or conclude a tattooing session at any time; however, payment remains mandatory for all artist time, preparation, and sterile single-use supplies utilized up to the point of cessation.

B. Booking Inquiries & Client Information

When submitting booking requests, consultation forms, or medical intake questionnaires via ladyink.com.au or direct studio communication, you agree to provide truthful, accurate, and current personal information. You are responsible for ensuring that your contact email and phone number are correct to receive critical appointment notifications, design discussions, and aftercare guidance coordinated by our studio manager (jacqui@ladyink.com.au). Falsifying identity details or age verification constitutes a direct violation of these Terms and Australian law.

C. Usage, Studio Access & Age Restrictions

Under Victorian law (Summary Offences Act), it is strictly illegal to tattoo anyone under 18 years of age. Lady Ink enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding age compliance: all clients must present physical government photo identification (such as a valid Australian Driver's Licence, Proof of Age card, or Passport) upon arrival. Parental or guardian consent cannot legally override this requirement in the State of Victoria.

To uphold our hospital-grade sterilization standards and maintain a calm, focused environment for intricate hyperrealism artistry, visitors must follow all studio hygiene protocols. Clients may bring one guest for support with prior notice, provided the guest remains in designated waiting areas and does not disrupt sterile workstation perimeters. Children and unattended minors are strictly prohibited from entry.

D. Payment, Pricing & Billing

All rates and estimates provided by Lady Ink Melbourne are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable. Tattooing fees are calculated based on transparent hourly rates or fixed full-day sit tiers: Tamara Caspersz ($250 per hour • $1,500 Full Day Sit of 5–7 hours, available Monday–Friday), Lau ($200/hr), Ramona ($150/hr), and Apprentice Paris ($100/hr • $500 Day Sits).

Final payment is due in full immediately upon completion of each session. We accept cash, major Australian debit and credit cards, and verified electronic bank transfers. Where large-scale sleeve or back projects span multiple appointments, each session is invoiced and finalized on the day of service. Failure to complete payment upon session conclusion will result in immediate legal recovery action and reporting to Victorian authorities.

E. Data Privacy & Security

Your privacy is of paramount importance to us. All personal details, project reference imagery, and confidential health disclosure forms collected by Lady Ink are maintained in strict accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Victorian public health record-keeping guidelines. For complete details on how your digital data, medical declarations, and payment records are secured and archived, please consult our full Privacy Policy page on this website.

F. Intellectual Property & Artwork Ownership

All custom tattoo illustrations, concept drawings, digital stencils, flash designs, and photographic documentation created by Tamara Caspersz and resident artists remain the exclusive intellectual property of Lady Ink Melbourne. Custom artwork is created uniquely for application to the client's skin and may not be reproduced, resold, or used for commercial merchandise without explicit written consent. Lady Ink reserves the right to photograph, film, and publish fresh and healed tattoo work across our digital portfolio, website, and social media channels for artistic showcase and promotional purposes.

G. Booking Deposits & Cancellation Policy

To secure your appointment date in our artists' busy calendars, a non-refundable booking deposit is mandatory at the time of scheduling. If you need to reschedule your appointment, a minimum of 48 hours' advance written notice (via email to jacqui@ladyink.com.au) is strictly required to transfer your deposit to a future date. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, failure to arrive (no-shows), or failure to present valid 18+ photo ID on session day will result in the immediate forfeiture of your deposit to compensate the artist for reserved studio time and custom preparation.
